sometimes the pros need a pro

We all have our areas of expertise. Even though I have certifications in applied neurology from Z-Health University, if a client’s complaining of an injury, the first thing I do is refer out to a friend of mine who is THE applied neurology expert.

Similarly, when Jackie “Six Packie” Tadych called me, she already had many years of experience in the fitness industry. But to get her fine tuned for her wedding, we needed to be super methodical about it.

There is SO much conflicting fitness information out in the ether, it’s dizzying.   Intermittent fast.  Don’t intermittent fast.  Eat eggs,  Don’t eat eggs.  Take creatine.  Don’t take creatine.   I would say 1) you can go to the literature and find an argument for and against anything so 2) you have to look at the individual and clinically observe with your own eyes whether or not something is working.

The other variable to consider is how exercise, food, environment, and circadian biology all work together synergistically.  You’re probably tired of hearing me say it: you have to have a system.

Over decades of observing clients and their responses to inputs (environment, diet, exercise, supplements, electromagnetism), I have developed a system for getting results in what I believe to be the most efficient way possible.

One more thing I’d like to mention, while Jackie did do a DEXA scan revealing a 2% fat loss as well, we didn’t use any high-tech gadgets to make this happen. I once had a $3000 ultrasound machine that was all the rage for measuring body comp. I sold it in a a few months. As Jackie mentions, we went old school. Not even a heart rate monitor. And while I do offer lab testing, in this case, as with most of my clients, we didn’t need labs to get the results we wanted. Just simple measuring tools and a method that works.

And in Jackie’s own words:

“I sought out Teri to help me prepare for my wedding. As a personal trainer and nutrition coach myself, you might think it would be easy to handle everything on my own—but the truth is, I needed someone to take the guesswork out of the process. What I gained from working with Teri turned out to be even more valuable than I expected.

In all my years of studying health and fitness, I had never learned the true importance of the lymphatic system and its crucial role in keeping the body functioning optimally. Teri provides a wealth of knowledge. I especially appreciate her use of calipers and measuring tape— tried-and-true, old-school methods of tracking progress.

She is honest, provides clear and effective plans of action, and helps you create a sustainable path to achieving your goals through healthy eating and balancing your microbiome.

Working with Teri has been an incredible experience. I’m so grateful for the tools, knowledge, and support she has given me to look and feel my absolute best on my wedding day.”
